It's 5 bucks and it covers their operating costs because they don't make a killing off of the actual ticket sales. They make their money from booze and the membership fees. Plus, the fee is a one time thing and you can get a guest in for free with a membership.
In other words, get a fucking better job if you can't afford a 5 dollar fee that needs to be paid only once.

fuck that sounds like you work there, what do you get a dollar of that five or something??, they shouldnt charge for memberships if theyre to lazy to promote their shit then they should sell the place to someone who will and then they can open up a nice little deli or something.......KEEP IT METAL!!!!

I do not work there.. I have a well paying job, so really im just cheap. Plus when my old band played there, they payed us $36.. TOTAL.. So im a little bitter..
In all out truth, I acknowledge it is fair, and a good deal when it comes to the 2 for 1. The membership does last for a year but it also get damaged or lost during drunken antics and other fun activities.
