I was not really trying to take artistic photos, more just surveying the city in different ways at night...... I had 1 or 2 things in mind and I took what I wanted. Odd places, cold at night with a tripod for some extra long exposures. For the most part anyway.

Looks awesome Sandy! I really enjoy the first one, looks like Edmonton is on fire! I was playing with 30' exposure while in Banff (didn't have my shutter release to bo bulb) but there weren't enough cars to get the desired look.

Thanks. They weren't really too special, but I really liked going out there and doing all that.

I gotta go back out when it snows and get some. I got a few of some traffic, some big trucks, but it didn't have the desired effect.

Nice. I dig the the last few of the industrial plant(s).

I was taking some similar industrial pics tonight and got busted by some nosey bitch.

We were on this one road, outside the city and these huge trucks came by, they told us to leave because they were moving something and we were in the way, we moved a bit but we set up our cameras outside their fences

I really dig this photo, how long was the exposure? Also, not sure if it was intentional or not, but whoever got caught in the first few seconds in the far right of the photo added a cool effect to it.

Thanks, that was on purpose yeah. We were fooling around with the long exposure and the "ghost" effect you could have if you stood there then moved or stood still then moved, etc. I have lots from that night with odd blurs behind glowing cameras.

Thats my favorite one as well.

freakin' awesome photo's reflex, the extra exposure really adds to the vividness of the shots

Quite awesome, the city shots seem quite alive.
